Chapter E - Eastern Quarter
[The Eastern Quarter is really one enormous puzzle: the former Maze of Royal Beasts which, in the way of these things, is still operational. We begin with a single room, the Budless Grove, and the never-children who act as gatekeepers for the maze. You have to prove yourself to get in - we really want players to attempt this quarter last of all - and then you have to solve one or more of the maze quests to get out again.
The Quarter involves two unusual spells not found in the standard W&W rulebook, so these are defined here, simply by continuing the previous table. "Compel postulant" is unusual in that it is cast upon the player, not by him.
We also need a new material for the pseudo-real items found in the Maze, most of which cannot be brought out of it again.]
